Care and Service
Benevolence is designed to provide guidance and material assistance in the name and to the glory of Jesus Christ; it serves to provide explicit testimony to the love of Jesus Christ, not simply to provide services.
The ministry team is responsible for defining what constitutes a true need according to biblical principles and determining the means by which those needs are identified. Decisions will be made in accordance with the teaching of Scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
This ministry is designed to serve those within the Griffin Road family and beyond, both Christian and non-Christian.
This ministry team is concerned with both the spiritual and physical needs of those it serves; therefore, assistance may take the form of financial/spiritual guidance and/or material aid.
This ministry is designed to identify recurring and/or one-time needs within our community and coordinate efforts within the Griffin Road family to lovingly minister to those needs. This may include, but not limited to, activities such as working in local homeless shelters, beach clean-up, hurricane preparation, hurricane clean-up, blood drives, handy-man projects, etc. This ministry team will develop a strategy for identifying, scheduling and conducting these various activities. Special needs will be referred to the elders and/or Discipleship ministry as appropriate.
