In talking to a lot of searchers like you, we've found
several common concerns.

Will I fit in here?
We all need to feel accepted by our peers. More importantly, we need God's acceptance. Fortunately, the Bible tells us that God loves each one of us...and He loves us more than we can imagine! Furthermore, the Griffin Road church is made up of ethnically and culturally diverse people of all age groups. We are family-friendly, but also have single members. It is certain that you will find someone with similar experiences and background. We want you to be part of our family!

Does anybody want to know me?
South Florida can sometimes be an unfriendly place! But the Griffin Road church is a haven of friends in the midst of chaos. Just as our diversity guarantees you will fit in, it also makes our church a very friendly place. In fact, we often refer to ourselves as a family. Just as every family rejoices in a new addition, we love it when new people join us. We want you to be a part of our family. At Griffin Road, everyone matters.

Am I needed?
We are actively trying to minister to the people of West Broward and Miami-Dade counties. You have unique talents and abilities that no one else can offer. When you become a part of the Griffin Road family, you will have the opportunity to be as involved as you like in our ministries. We think this is important, because through service to others, we also serve God.

What do I get out of becoming a member?
We believe there are several benefits to being a member of the Griffin Road Church of Christ. Some are Biblical, some are practical, some are personal. They include:

  • Being a part of a church that seeks to restore New Testament Christianity; that means we take the Bible as our only rule book and guide, we have no earthly headquarters or controlling entity, and require nothing the Bible doesn't require.
  • Engaging in worship that helps you focus on God and prepares you spiritually and emotionally for the week ahead.
  • Having a spiritual family; friends who are available to support you and encourage you in your spiritual walk, and as you face the problems and challenges of life. You can have a spiritual family; friends who support and encourage you.
  • Having a place to discover and use your talents and abilities in real service to God and others.
  • Providing you with the means to strengthen your faith, models that challenge your lifestyle, and accountability to help you grow.

What is required of members?
The New Testament equates church membership with becoming a Christian. Our ultimate goal is to help everyone become true disciples of Jesus Christ. This includes observing the New Testament teaching about salvation, adopting lifestyles consistent with Biblical standards, and serving others. If this is your first church, or if you've not been part of a church for a long time, you may not feel ready for such a commitment at this time. We still want you to be a part of the Griffin Road Church of Christ. Our congregation has people at different stages of their spiritual lives...all are loved, and all are important to us and to God. Just as in your extended family there are children, teenagers, parents and grandparents, our congregation has people at different stages of their spiritual lives. All loved, all are wanted, and all are important to us and to God. In light of that, we encourage you to commit to one of the following levels of involvement:

  • I commit to being an occasional attendee
  • I commit to attending worship and/or Bible study weekly
  • I commit to attending weekly and studying how to become a Christian
  • I commit to maturing as a Christian and helping in the worship and teaching activities of the church

If you'd like to tell us about your commitment we'd love to hear it. Or, if you'd rather keep it to yourself for awhile, that's okay, too.

Thank you again for being our guest. We hope the Griffin Road Church of Christ will be an important part of your life from now on...and we hope you will be an important part of our lives, as well. You have the choice we hope you will choose the Griffin Road Church of Christ...

...where you fit in!
